move in dayOur third house (and the first under our new organization in Ukraine for the trade school, Hope for Each) is finished. We bought an old house, gutted it, re-roofed it, and built everything new inside in a North American style, with all new Ukrainian furniture, so it is like new!

We had three teams come from Canada this spring and Garry, the students and group home parents put many hours into finishing the project before move in day last week. The Alberta team was featured earlier this year, a month later we had a team from our home church in Steinbach, Manitoba who built the inside walls. They also got to work with the students on the building.

Since the new class is almost all girls, it is a second girls house. The group home family are Christians who left eastern Ukraine last year with only what fit into their Lada. They have two daughters who are attending the village school.

There are a few finishing details to take care of but everyone was excited to get into their own space, the family and some of the girls had been living with us for more than a month. In this house the family has separate living area and kitchenette, two bedrooms and a bathroom with a connecting door to the student side of the house, but I don’t think the door has been shut yet!
